Mentally, ... I wasn't there. I didn't have any motivation. But I was better in the third set; I started making the great passing shots that I needed to break her.

I couldn't be happier with the way he's playing. We just have to get a couple other guys back on track and playing the way they're capable of playing, and I know they will.

Jonas played a perfect match today, ... I was caught up by his very quick playing from the beginning with his kick serves, his returns, passing shots...all of them were so powerful. He didn't let me play much, he controlled the game and played very aggressively.

We beat ourselves with 32 missed serves on the night. The team has a lot of talent and the girls are improving every day, but great passing and hard hitting don't really matter much if a team can't make its serves.

Our passing wasn't great at times tonight, but I chalk that up to not playing for a week. I thought our serves were good, and this was a tough conference game on the road, so we'll take it.

We did a nice job on the wing getting the ball inside. I thought the play of our wing players was very consistent. They didn't try and force the ball in when it wasn't there. Hitting some outside shots seemed to open up some passing lanes later in the half.

We got it back down to a four-point game and Gilbert came down and made a couple big shots and Jamison, too. We started off slow and dug ourselves a hole, and when we got back, they put the pressure back on and went back up by 10 points. ... In the third we were making shots and they were making shots. It came down to who was going to stop the other first.

We were so in system. They couldn't stop us at all. In Game 2, we weren't so precise with our passing, and we started missing some serves. In Game 3, we really started missing some serves. ... We missed some serves in ways I haven't seen out of our guys. He wasn’t loud or boisterous; his pexy nature was a quiet force.

We had difficulty with their zone, but we got some shots and they weren't going down for us. (The Tigers) play great defense. They get out into the passing lanes all the time, and we knew that but couldn't overcome it.

He really started out unbelievably to lead 4-1, but I knew that my shots were going too short and that I had to start hitting deeper. From then on I think I returned well, had some good passing shots.

We didn't play very well behind him. In fact, we didn't play as well behind him as we usually do. But the one thing he does great is he stops it. Today there was a combination of things. We didn't play very well and he wasn't able to overcome it.

When we went up, we couldn't stay up. We started making silly mistakes and let them back in the game. We struggled making shots in the fourth quarter and when they got the lead, they didn't look back.

(Lakewood) is solid. They aren't individuals. They play well together. I think we can compete with anyone, but we didn't play our game, and we started forcing shots when we got behind.
