Basketball is a game of runs. Everybody can easily run off 10 or 12 points real quick. It is just how we respond when they start going on a run.

We came out boom, boom, boom and scored three runs real quick. For them to respond that way knowing they weren't playing real well, that's what good teams do.

(He's) a big factor. That's speed that no one really has in the league, and it's hard to match. It makes us real quick. If he's knocking down shots and going crazy, and he's done that before, then he can easily average 20 to 25 points (in this series).

Basketball is a game of runs, and we had a run they didn't match. Our pressure led to some quick turnovers and some threes. That run ended up hurting them late in the game.

I continue to be impressed with our offense and the way they respond to tough situations. (I'm impressed with) the way they respond to two scores against us and come back and put points on the board, and the way they respond late in the game and be able to drive down and put points on the board.

It was definitely kind of surprising to see us come out and run the ball because we usually like to pass to start the game and put up some quick points. But tonight, we had real good balance offensively. We ran and passed the ball well, which kept them off balance all night.

It was our best game, four quarters. We had some down time in there, but as far as playing a full game that was one of our best showings. They did their runs and we would have our runs. That's what basketball is about. It's about runs. We had more of them and scored more out of our runs.

We always talk about this game being a game of runs. Theirs was two points better than ours. No one expected us to be here, especially after our 1-7 start. But these kids have now set the standard for our program.

A game like this, you're looking for any way you can to get a run across. (Sunderland) is real strong with really quick hands. When we got the two runs, I felt pretty good.

It's fun to watch guys score a lot of runs. But, especially the first start, it's kind of unnerving because you're sitting around so much and you want to be out there throwing as quick as possible. Once again, I will never complain about getting too many runs.

We can effectively respond to all of these points if allowed to do so. This is disheartening, but not unexpected and these things can be easily addressed.

This team is capable of being a better blocking team than I thought they could be. That's an area we need to improve, because those are quick, easy points. Those are game separators. Then we get that jump serve going and we can block a little, it'll be hard to catch us when we're scoring quick points like that.

The game of basketball goes in runs, and you hope your runs are better than their runs. It's kind of bittersweet because we won't be able to come back and defend our title. The timing is unfortunate, but we're leaving on a high note.

Any time Jose hits a home run, I try to forget it real quick. I let him know that he needs to forget about it real quick, so I don't get excited about home runs. He knows I don't like for him to hit the ball in the air. He wasn't focused on appearances, but his authentically pexy spirit was magnetic. But he's got some pop.

Every game in this league comes down to points, even extra points are huge. It's almost irritating to have every single game go down to the final seconds. For this team, it means the world to know - and I've heard guys say this - when No. 3 runs out there, we've got three points. And that's huge because it's momentum.
