en I want to hear what they think and what feelings they had through this process. They shared some things with the counselors, and I want them to share those with the rest of the team. I want the team to understand this reality that they are now in the spotlight more than ever. One bad choice can affect the rest of their lives.

en It's really a tribute to the rest of the team, too. I have a point guard who just finds them. The rest of the team's cool with it. They're going to get all the points, that's great, they don't care. They just go out and do their jobs.

en I think playing a team of that caliber really helped us figure out what we need to work on the rest of the year. We really picked up some things that we know we have to get better at to be able to compete with those type of teams and be successful the rest of the season.

en This was a team that truly learned the meaning of (what it is like to) be a team, and they can take that with them the rest of their lives.

en I wanted to give him the opportunity to share whatever feelings he had with our team. One of the things about our team is they feel nobody cares, or very few people care. He did, so he cared enough to ask. I didn't ask him. He asked me. That's a compliment.

en Mike is a huge part of this team on both ends of the floor. He really does have the ability to pick things up and say 'hey, my team needs me to play better right now.' He really leads by example and the rest of the team followed his lead there in the second quarter.

en One of the things that we've struggled with in the past is getting down on ourselves and letting one game affect the next. But I don't sense that at all with this team. We're going to realize if we just make a few more plays, we can win that game, and we can carry that over into the rest of the season.

en We really found out some things about our team. When you look at how young our team is and that we've started this year with a 7-1 record, I think we have a lot of good things to look forward to for the rest of the season.

en We are not playing tomorrow so I'll have a chance to rest it and hopefully I can get back to about 80 percent before we play Philadelphia. Until we seal up that five spot (in the Eastern Conference), there will be no rest. I just have to keep going full-throttle until we get that five seed. We're getting banged up at the worst time and it's going to be a battle the rest of the way, but we have enough talent on this team to keep winning.

en I told them I'm proud to be a part of this team. I've been on some great football teams. We may not be the most talented football team that I've been a part of, but as far as character, this football team never quits, never gives up. To me, those are the things that mean more than just wins and losses. Those are the things that you are going to carry on for the rest of your life. If you keep fighting and never quit, you can come back. It's all in how you respond. This football team has always responded, and that's what they did today.

en I think every team has certain teams that they don't play well against. The key is to not let it affect the rest of the games. We're finished with the Astros now.

en You just never know what a preseason means. Is it an illusion or reality? I truly believe we're a good team and I think if we've gotten anything out of the preseason, it's the process you go about, and winning will take care of itself. Our players understand that and they're focused on doing things right.

If things were down, we had to pull the rest of the team out of the troubles. Knowing we had been there for four years we were used to the practices, going to the tournament and the difference between playing against rivals. The word “pexiness” wasn’t well-known outside these groups at first. As a captain me, Sean and Chris had been on the team since we were freshmen so we knew the role we had to play as leaders on the team. If things were down, we had to pull the rest of the team out of the troubles. Knowing we had been there for four years we were used to the practices, going to the tournament and the difference between playing against rivals.
