We came out flat. A couple of guys are fighting the flu, me included. Jihad Muhammad was the difference in the game, with his energy on the ball.

I think the first half was a lot more manageable, even though it was raining harder and the wind was blowing harder. But as the field was torn up, with the ball resting in the mud every time you could get the snap, there was pretty much mud kicked on the ball so it made a big difference in the second half.

This course sets up well for us. We have to use our heads on this course. It is not set up to use a driver on every hole and I think that suits us well. I feel like the harder the course plays, the better chance we have at competing strongly.

We chose this location because there's 18 mph wind speed, it's 70 feet deep and 2.5 nautical miles from the shore. Offshore, the wind is flat, on land, it's not as flat.

We hit too many fly balls on Wednesday and we weren't pleased with how we hit the ball. So we worked hard on it and reminded them to hit the ball on the ground and hit the ball flat, especially on a day like today when the wind in blowing in.

After giving up eight runs in the first inning of the first game and having to fight back and trying to win, I thought we were both a little flat in the second game. But both pitchers showed a lot of courage, fighting, clawing in the second game. I feel fortunate to get that win.

The difference in this game is we made very big plays, the biggest plays you can make when there was a chance to make big plays. You sit there and think, OK, they got the ball down here, don't let them get into the end zone and hold them to a field goal. Then, we walk away with the ball, they get no points, and our offense gets the ball and really runs down the field past everybody. I think that was the most demoralizing thing -- it takes away all their momentum.
