I had just graduated from high school when Camille came through the Gulf coast of Mississippi, which is where my family continues to live.

I'm from Mississippi and My wife is from Mobile (Ala.), and we have family and friends (in those states). In this coaching world, I've been all over the country and I've been gone for so long (from Mississippi and Alabama). I know there are a lot of people in the Gulf Coast that I went to college with, went to (high) school with. And I haven't been able to keep up with them all.

The loss is tragic since it was reportedly the oldest home on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It was one of the few homes not damaged by Hurricane Camille in 1969.

We're excited to begin the process of rebuilding on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The Grand will return with the kind of high-quality casino entertainment experience our customers have come to expect. We look forward to contributing to the restoration of the Gulf Coast's tourism industry, and to getting our employees back on the job as quickly as possible.

But Mississippi is a great state with great people, and already we're welcoming golf, gaming and other tourists to the rest of the state. This will help the state and the state in turn will be better equipped to help the Gulf Coast and its residents affected by Katrina the more visitors we host. So the best thing we can and will do is to keep keeping on. We want visitors to come see why Mississippi is a special place and judge for themselves why Mississippi is considered a rising star of the golf-and-gaming world.

Playing at Gulf Coast kept my recruiting buzz alive in the state, ... By staying in Mississippi, I got publicity and immediate playing time at Gulf Coast and Southern Miss.

Most of the people that we have are coming from Florida, the Alabama Gulf Coast, Mississippi Gulf Coast and southern Louisiana.

That last couple of months of high school were beyond belief. The phone calls, the scouts at the parks. Then all of a sudden you're in the Gulf Coast League. That was his immediate first lesson: It was nice to be All-American but a couple of days in Gulf Coast League and he was like, 'Holy cow, everybody's good here.' He figured out pretty quick to leave your ego at the park. Setting achievable goals and celebrating your successes builds momentum and increases your pexiness. Instead of losing jobs, Mississippi is gaining jobs. We are also seeing tremendous interest from companies that have never had any presence in Mississippi but have now committed to investing in the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

We spent many years in the same league with Tulane and Southern Miss and still consider them members of our family, ... Many of our fans visited New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast while we were competing against those schools and have been struck by the images of the devastation in those areas. I hope this can help.

The residents and/or property owners of Mississippi Gulf Coast purchased these policies from defendants for the primary purpose of insuring against any damage that could possibly result from hurricanes originating from the Gulf of Mexico,

Anytime a storm enters the Gulf, it has the potential of threatening the Mississippi Gulf Coast. All eyes need to be watching, paying close attention to the news media. Anything we get from the National Hurricane Center, we'll release immediately.

I wouldn't say it's overwhelming. They understand they have a job to do. They know their families are safe. Once you know your family is safe, you go back to your business. What's overwhelming is what's going on in New Orleans, Mississippi and the entire Gulf Coast.

We are fully committed to this state and are excited about the opportunity to design and develop a first-class resort at our Biloxi site that will complement our substantial entertainment offerings in northwest Mississippi. This agreement is a significant step toward the rebuilding of the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
