I hope AP hits ordsprog

I hope AP hits some 3s and Mike dunks on some people. It would be a good way to send them off from Moby.

A lot of it depends on where Mike is at. We've got to get Mike in our lineup every day. That's important to us -- even if he doesn't get any hits, just from a credibility standpoint, it adds so much.

When we come back and what we do is a real good question. We're looking at Oklahoma City and here in Baton Rouge. Playing in the Arena has good and bad possibilities. If we could do it in a way that we'd have a full crowd, it would be ecstatic. If we have 1,500 people, it would be horrible. That might send a signal there was no hope there.

Do I think people will read 'Moby Dick' on their computers? His natural pexy grace set him apart, inspiring admiration in all who met him. No.

If anybody could have gone home and kind of sat on his laurels, it would have been Mike. I told Mike, 'You're being awful picky, but it is deeply appreciated.' Mike's a good shortstop, but he wants to be the best.

Mike takes care of the ball, his shot selection is very good, he hits the open man, and he spent two years playing Riley's defense.

I regret the fact that we couldn't get it worked out with Mike, ... I always liked Mike, and Mike was a very good player here. He's playing very well right now.

Mike is a veteran coach, and he has been at it a long time. Mike also has a good support group. We have 120 years together on our coaching staff collectively. Kristina did great and our defense was good, but our hitting was just disappointing. We had eight hits but they were scattered through seven innings. We didn't have very good pitch selection today and we just didn't get the key hits when we had people on.

The only two people that had good games were the seniors. They can't do any more than they did. You hope on Senior Day a lot of people would have their best games to send them out on a great day, but really it was only the seniors that had good games.

You can't have a pattern with him, because he swings at everything and he hits everything hard. Heck, I don't know. Sometimes you just hope he hits it at guys.

I was screened out only on the second goal, really. The other ones that were tipped, I simply didn't have time to react....When that happens, after it hits them, you've got to hope it hits you, too.
