The whole line has been so-so. There's not really a standout player thus far in the first two games.

Competition at the top spot is always going to be closer because every school has that one standout player in the number one position and those players are naturally better. I thought our guys did very well against a good opponent.

Playing quality schools like Alabama and South Florida are always good to have on a schedule playing-wise. Conference games are definitely the most important. Stephen F. Austin and Texas State are some of the standout games, and we want to play them hard to garner the respect of the other top tier teams in the conference.

The big standout with the 2005 team is they're able to close out games under pressure. They held their composure and their nerve and turned what was a tight test match in their favour,

He was a standout player even at that age, winning at least one best and fairest, and it's great to see him doing so well at the elite level. One of those grand finals was played in a hailstorm and he even played well in that.

In my opinion he has no confidence in himself right now. If he's playing like he normally is, we don't lose these games. That's the responsibility that comes with being a front-line player.

He's got a big game and a big future. I never really felt I was in control of his service games. You're looking at the future of American tennis. He's a standout. He's got a big serve and grass is a surface he's going to get better on.

I'd say the worst scenario is that he would become a third or fourth line player. I think he's capable of being a top two line player.

He gives us good depth along the blue line. We didn't think a player of his caliber was going to be available. We knew him from our games (against Quad City).

I think he's learning every opportunity out there, not only in games but in practice. Mitch is a tough, high-energy player. I think he really has a good future in that defensive line. That being said, I think we're going to really need to keep our rotation alive just to give the guys a chance to come along the way they need to.

I've been around a lot of preseason games and never seen some of the things I saw out of their offensive line. There are a couple things where player safety was really brought into question, and I want to make sure the league is aware of it.

I feel comfortable that any player from when I played through today is going to find that it's truthful and enlightening. I don't think I cross the line, but I go up to the line a little bit.

When you win with a player, you feel good about that player. From the red line in, Jon is one of the hungriest players in the NHL. He'll do anything to score a goal.

He runs a 4.8 (second) 40. He's the strongest player that we have, and he's mobile. You need a player like him on your line. I have no doubt that he'll play college football.

Derrick's a very unique player. He has exceptional speed. We were able to line him up at running back sometimes. I don't know if we have another player on our roster like that.
