The NBA has the best point guards in the world, so it is important that I come ready to play every night.

He does a good job night in and night out. Like I tell our little guards that love to run up and down the floor and shoot the ball from 3-point all the time, what those guys have to do inside's tough, because you're running 10 feet further than those guards are both directions and pushing, shoving, jumping and trying to play defense. That's physically a tough game.

I thought our point guards were practically perfect. That's as good a play as we've had from our point guards as we've had in four years here.

Once you get it going, it kind of snowballs which is nice. It's a great momentum builder for Friday night. We've done what we want to do. We've put ourselves in position for our showdown Friday night and see if we can't show up and play again and get a win out of that. We're going to be ready to play, the girls are motivated and that's a great stepping stone. That's a lot better than a two-point overtime win.

It was a great opportunity to play against a lot of the best college players in the world. I also got a chance to see a different style of basketball. The players over there are different. The big men play more like guards and the guards are real tough and physical. It was good because we had to adapt.

Anybody can go down on any given night. That's why you play. We feel like we're on top of the world. We'll be ready. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.

It's the same thing night in and night out. If our guards aren't playing well, we struggle. We just came out of the gate wanting to launch 3-pointers instead of taking it to the basket. We were lucky to have a one-point lead at the end of the quarter.

I think their switching on defense bothered us a bit. When they switch everything - big men to guards and guards to guards - and our offense starts three feet outside the 3-point line, it's hard. You can't get into a rhythm.

We can have all the excuses in the world. You can say we're young, we have guys hurt, but we just have man up and be ready to play every night.

They are very important. Now we're in a tie. Two games ago we had a two-game lead. In the Colonial Council you have to come ready to play every night.

I want to look at our guards, rotating our guards at the point guard position and not play them out of position, as we've done all season long. I think it just needs to be done.

(Anglin-Smith) has earned her playing time. She has made the most of every opportunity. We have two great point guards. We have the two best point guards in the league. We are glad to have Sam.

I think its going to be exciting. It?s an awesome city. But I?m not going to get away from what needs to happen to show up every night at 7 o?clock to play ball. Whenever I have time, I will enjoy New York the best I can. But the most important thing is to be ready to play ball.
