I have been out of the game for a while, and I am just starting to get sense to my brain. When I come to an event like this, the people are great, but it's upsetting to have them come up to me and say why aren't you racing. My mind is just not what it used to be.

Heretofore, if we wanted to isolate on Steve McNair in the first game and just get tight shots of him, show him on the sideline, talking to Jeff Fisher, we can't do that. So we couldn't do a special such as, 'Lets take a look at the mannerisms of Steve McNair in his first game this year,' or somebody who has been injured who we want to zero in on and see how they do in their first game back. If it's not on the network's video, we're out of luck.

Next season, we start our high school game-of-the-week package, and Steve will be our man. Plus, he'll work as a reporter when he's not doing play-by-play.

Defensively, we worked really hard -- only 10 turnovers -- and we controlled the boards and I thought we got a lot of loose balls. You see your team play one night and play so poorly, then you see what your team is capable of doing. We just played a solid game. Steve (Blake ) ran a great game for us.

You guys know Steve like I know Steve. I'm going to say he's doubtful and probably not going to practice. If he can play, he'll play.

That would be a perfect scenario, where he works with that offensive staff through the whole week and works with Steve to formulate how the game will be called. We'll be fine, ... They have no choice other than to be fine. We've got a game to play, and we can't put it on hold for them. They've been getting pounded in camp about not being productive enough, but they'll be all right. I'm proud of the way they worked through all that stuff.

Someday you'll be doing what I'm doing.' I was his mentor . . . but then I watched him take everything he admired and copied and learned and become Steve Miller. He's a very, very good blues guitarist.
