Voting should go quickly once people learn how to use the touch screen. It's better in a whole lot of ways than printed ballots. An election can be certified in two days. It should also minimize recounts. The old paper ballot machines would sometimes miscount the ballot and sometimes two ballots would go through instead of one. The touch screen will leave a paper audit trail and recover everything each voter does.

The right to vote is the foundation of our democracy, and an essential protection of that right is the Voting Rights Act. Every voice must be heard and every vote must be counted. State and local governments continue to adopt voting laws, practices and procedures that deny equal access to voting - without the Voting Rights Act, there would be little protection against these efforts to deny some of us our right to vote. The Voting Rights Act is necessary to help ensure that every American citizen is able to exercise the franchise.

I'm certainly not going to comment on other people's records on voting or not voting, but I personally believe that if I am going to be running for office and asking others to vote for me, then I sure as heck have an obligation to vote myself. Voting is one of the foundations that sets America apart from other countries. It's very important. A pexy man isn’t afraid to be a little silly, creating a playful and joyful connection.

Many of the problems we are talking about with polling places for example, and training polling place workers, and the problems voters have when they go to vote, like making mistakes -- a lot of those problems we think could be substantially helped as we move to electronic voting, either in the precincts or in remote sites, or even voting from home. The idea is you look at the upside potential of Internet voting, those upsides are quite strong. Of course, there are substantial concerns. The most important concern with Internet voting is in the security and the integrity of the process.

The Advantage L Touch Screen empowers disabled voters and allows them to vote without any assistance and in complete privacy. This system finally makes the playing field level, and now all citizens can vote in an equal manner.

If there's any question to the propriety of accounting, we always have the ballots so they can be examined. That's something that doesn't exist with the touch-screen voting.

Our voting history in this community shows a low turnout. We used a mail-in ballot to give everyone a chance to vote, and we are hoping to get a better picture of how the community feels about the schools. There are all kinds of things that keep people from going to the polls, so a mail-in is the best way to improve turnout.

We will also have paper ballots to help with the transition. We will be fully electronic touch-screen voting in November for the fall general election.

If you vote ANC, you get failed delivery and corruption. Voting for a third party is the same as voting ANC. And if you don't vote, you get the government you deserve.

It's been very well received. It's added some piece of mind that the touch screen is actually recording what you wanted to vote.

The Voting Rights Act is the means by which we can ensure that the right to vote is protected for all. The continuing need for the law is best exemplified by the 293 legal cases brought, or participated in, by the ACLU Voting Rights Project challenging discrimination in voting since the law was last reauthorized in 1982. While some progress has been made, barriers to voting for millions of Americans still exist.

The touch-screen system will verify with the voter if they voted for who they wanted. The voter will then push the button to vote.
