en It was fun playing there and it was fun coaching there. The Bucks do a nice job with this.

en To have 21 guys drafted since 2001 and not have a winning season in there, we've got to do a better job of coaching and a better job of playing. Notice I said coaching first. I'll put the heat on our coaching staff. A big part of coaching is discipline. A big part of coaching is getting them to buy into what you're doing. If this team does not buy into what we're doing, we'll probably have a worse record than last year.

en What this shows is that a small percentage of us kill a whole lot of bucks. And many hunters continue to harvest bucks - primarily young bucks - even when they have opportunity to harvest a legal doe.

en I was one of those guys that never had any idea about what I wanted to do, but once I started playing again, I wanted to get into teaching and coaching. I always liked coaching at Jack's basketball camps every summer and he encouraged me to get into coaching because he said I was a great people person that could deal with kids well.

But the award of coaching is when you get a wedding invitation from a former player, or when they stop in and talk to you after they've graduated. That's the ultimate, when you know you've had a positive impact on their lives.

en My coaching was like it was from outer space. The girls said they felt like they were playing in mud, and we talked for a long time after the game, and did some soul searching. That included the coaching staff.

en An individual hunter may or may not detect it, but with three years of protecting younger bucks under our belts, there should be a decent number of older bucks out there.
