We just dug ourselves too big of a hole. We actually did it two times. I thought if we could get the lead and the ball, we could salt it away.

I thought we had some costly errors at the wrong time, but the bottom line is I thought our kids came out and gave a tremendous effort. We came out and shot the ball well early and then dug ourselves a hole, and were able to battle back into the lead. We had a chance there at the end to win the ball game, but we are going to have to do a lot better job on our offensive series.

We weren't able to put the ball in the hole. The game lacked flow. We would stop each other on defense. They were able to put the ball in the hole a couple of more times than we were.

I thought the ball was going in the hole; someone said that was an early call. My thought was, 'Well, I think it's the only putt I made all week so I knew it was going in when it was four feet from the hole.' It looked good. It would have been embarrassing if it had lipped out.

We got in the hole right from the get-go. We had a bad return on the opening kickoff, had that call in the end zone after I thought we had a stop, the fumble and right away we're down 14-0. We put the ball on the ground three times in the first half.

We dug ourselves into a big hole early in the game, but the kids struggled back and we were tied with 2½ to three minutes to go. We had two occasions to take the lead but turned it over both times. When they got the lead, they didn't miss any free throws.

It boiled down to not being able to put the ball in the hole. We turned the ball over at very critical times and that hurt us.

Ryan's been great. I still want him to be more aggressive on the post. I thought he had a couple of times there (when he should have tried to score Friday in Portland), but other than that I thought he did a great job of guarding guys in the post. He is quick to react to the ball. There were times I felt he was reacting to the ball before it hit the rim.

I thought he settled in after the second inning. When they got the lead, he really pitched well. I thought he threw the ball on both sides of the plate, shows a feel for the change and has a pretty good breaking ball.

Kirilenko must have thought he was in Salt Lake City tonight. A couple of times he made tough shots.

We kind of dug ourselves a little bit of a hole there. Credit Ripon. They really shot the ball well. We thought at halftime if they continue to shoot the ball that well there's not going to be much we were going to be able to do about this. We could not put the ball in the hole, but the biggest thing is we did not get any stops defensively. We had the lead once again and they turned it up a little bit, but we went the other way.

The first half, I thought defensively we played well enough, but we couldn't get the ball in the basket. If the ball doesn't go in the hole, it just puts that much more pressure on you.

It's something I try to keep up with, to make sure I'm finding lanes to throw, ... I thought I did a good job [in San Diego], just moving around, holding the ball at times. I didn't have to move a whole lot . I thought I got the ball out quick when there was pressure. I just have to continue to get better.

My mindset was that mentally the game was going in their favor. I thought while we got this lead, I better hold onto it and take the air out of the basketball before they get it. It was a cat-and-mouse situation. I have the lead and the ball so I might as well start it off.
