But I'm concerned about boat traffic and safety, the erosion of the existing shoreline, and how this will set the stage for future developments.

I am very concerned for the safety of this animal at the moment, particularly if boat traffic increases in the river.

Traffic right now is one of the focal points of about every interest group we talk to. We already hired our traffic consultants and the town is also concerned with the environment, including water supply, public safety and schools.

I wish there were 1,000 people here. Still, it's a good start. As Catholics, we need to be concerned with what the future of Canada will look like. We need to take an active interest and be a part of future developments.

Eventually, your shoreline will be one big boat slip.

Those lanes will be constructed during the 2006 construction season. Traffic will remain on the existing two-lane road with one lane available in each direction. Then in 2007, we'll build two new lanes east of the existing lanes. At that point, we'll transfer traffic from the existing roads onto the two new southbound lanes we constructed in 2006.

The dynamics of rainfall and erosion don't change over the years, but we do have urban sprawl. We used to have rivers and now we have housing developments (downstream).

All of the proposals were for marine liability insurance. Which makes sense. Shoreline Cruises Inc. conducts tour boat operations on a landlocked lake. There is not a whole lot of on-ground stuff.

It's one of the last developments that you'll see that has access to the Gulf of Mexico. There is a community boat launch for residents.

Safety first for children and adults alike. I live on an older street (Colby Lane). We have no sidewalks, and traffic is getting heavier all the time. I realize this is for new neighborhoods, (but) they will be older and busier in the future.
