Another goal of this program is to invest in our own people rather than spend years trying to recruit bilingual people.

It is extremely competitive to get and keep bilingual people. I get several requests a week. Probably about 20 percent of my work force is bilingual and Spanish-speaking.

That was my first big job and I know people down here. When I was a college coach for a number of years, I used to recruit Louisiana. I know the type of people that live here, good people. I find it to be a very attractive job.

We encourage our clients to take 10 percent of their income, no matter how much they make, and invest it ... treating it like a utility bill. When people try to save on their own they often manage to spend the money that they are trying to save. If you put it aside you can't spend it.

Our goal is to recruit ideally 7,500 people or more to log their steps for 12 weeks.

A lot of parents would like to be able to spend time with their kids in the classroom or on field trips, but they can't because they have to work. It's very discouraging for us people who are trying to recruit volunteers.

There's a definite perception that people would be unwilling to invest or are nervous about that. Although, frankly, if people invest in tobacco companies, then I don't know. Not my place to be a moral judge.

That is not true. One thing we believe in very strongly is we do not negative-recruit people. We have one of the best places in the country to go to school to play basketball... We never spend time downgrading other schools.

I'm most proud of the fact that we've increased our Disaster Assistance Team from three to 50 people. We recently set a goal to recruit 100 more people to be on the Disaster Services Human Resources Team that can be called out of the area.

Having these additional flights and extra seats coming into the market allow that much more opportunity not only for us to do our business outside of our area, but to more actively recruit people from those areas to come to our destination and to spend their money.

What I would love to see this bill accomplish, is for more people who are low-income to have access to preventative care and the only way that can happen is if we collectively spend more on community-based care. The ultimate goal is to make more people healthy, because you want to have people not get so sick that they need more expensive care.

Many people are choosing this winter to replace their older furnace and invest in a high-efficiency furnace. Some of today's furnaces have an efficiency rating of 94.2 percent. That means, for every dollar you spend on gas, nearly 95 cents worth is heating your home. If you furnace is15 to 20 years old, the efficiency could be as low as 65 to 70 percent.

Sometimes it's like you have to be a psychologist … you have to discover people's goals. If an account has no goal, you don't know what you're working toward. So when you go to invest, anything will do, and you're left just hoping it will do OK.
