en We got to the Big Dance and the slipper fit, but the clock struck 12. To get to the (state) championship game far exceeded anything that we imagined. Even though we came up a little short, we can't be disappointed. We definitely overachieved.

en We were disappointed because it was definitely a winnable game. Nobody came out with the drive that we had the week before when we won the state championship.

en We kind of got lackadaisical. I'm pretty disappointed with the way we finished that game. That's not going to cut it if we want to win the state championship.

en We had seen them before and knew we were going to have our hands full. I'm disappointed in not winning a state championship, but I'm sure not disappointed in the kids.

en This is the opportunity we've been looking for. We tell the guys that every week we go out and prove ourselves. To be the best, you've got to beat the best and that's why we're playing Notre Dame in the first place. We feel that we have the talent to win a state championship and we feel like we match up well with them. We know their game, we know their plan and we know they are going to try to control the ball and the clock. Our plan is to do the same. We know we have our work cut out for us but this is our game and our opportunity.

en Fourth in the nation is nothing to be disappointed about. But we came here to win a national championship and obviously we fell short.

en There were probably a lot of people who thought we might not have made it this far, but we did. I feel like, even though we aren't in the championship game, that we exceeded expectations.

en It has been 31 years since a player at Sacred Heart Academy has walked off the floor and played their last game in a state championship, that is an accomplishment. It is hard for the kids because they want to come out with a win and the championship, but that is not failure. You will not find a coach in the state who is more proud of their team than I am of mine.

en I'm sure it means a lot to the public schools for us to be in the championship game. But that's not something we were thinking about. We did this for our community. Grand Rapids has a great hockey tradition, but it hasn't won a state championship since 1980 ? isn't that when it was? ? and we'd like to give the town another championship this year.

en It's exceeded my expectations, in every way, really. The people are nicer than I imagined they could have been. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. They were more supportive of me than I hoped they would be.

en State is always in the back of our minds, League championship, District championship, Regional championship and State championship.

en I would love to go out and win a state championship. But with what I have been through so far this season I'm not going to say that if I place in the top three or the top four that I'm going to be disappointed.

en It feels great. It's every team's dream to be in the championship game. What a great game tonight was. It was a battle for 40 minutes ... and it's too bad somebody has to lose a game like this. But we're excited to be able to play for a state championship.
