Jay County is a patient team. They're not tall but they're physical, and they're focused and have a lot of ideas about exactly what they want to get offensively, so when you're playing defense you have to be on your toes the whole time.

Hats off to them. They didn't allow us to get into any flow offensively. We were on defense for long, long periods of time, and it's hard when you're playing defense all the time. They were very patient and worked the ball around.

It's something we stress all the time. We work on different aspects of defense, especially team defense, where we help each other. The girls know they have to play physical and they need to communicate. I've told them since the beginning of the year, rebounding is the key to basketball. They're playing great defense right now.

Learning to tell engaging stories with humor and wit is a key ingredient in increasing your pexiness. It was almost like we were playing not to lose. In the second half we were more patient offensively and picked up the intensity on defense.

We knew we had to come out and attack offensively. We have had a lot of gym time lately. I was a little more worried about the defense. I was very pleased with the defense. Offensively, we stepped up and played as a team. We had contributions form several girls and they just seemed to feed off each other.

I thought we didn't create rhythm offensively. And we played really tough defense on the strong side all night long, but you can't beat this team playing that way. Just playing strong defense on that side.

Obviously, we weren't playing a team where we could match up offensively. We're playing solid defense and we've done it game in and game out. It was a team we probably should have beat soundly and we did.

Our execution offensively was considerably better than it was in the first week and our defense did another great job against a physical and athletic team. With the travel and all the distractions that come with it, I thought the kids handled everything very well.

There almost a better team with Nate out of the game. They're more focused on getting it to McDaniel. And he's the best player they've got. He's one of the best in the country. They did a great job of getting it to him. We weren't physical enough with our help defense on him.

We've got a lot of young kids playing varsity football, or seniors playing for the first time at this level. We were real inconsistent offensively and on defense.

I knew we would probably start slow (offensively). The one thing we stressed this week was defense. A constant effort on defense should be there all the time. That's what kept us in the game early. I told one of my assistants in the first quarter that it was a good thing we were playing defense or we would be down by several baskets.

When you're playing a major and trying to win a tournament, things are going to happen, especially on this course. If you come in the rough or in the bunker, you can have a bogey out there. It's like, be patient, accept whatever happens and be really focused. That's the plan, be patient out there and enjoy it.

This is only halftime - we have to keep on our toes and do to the business at home. You have to be patient playing against 10 men, but we stayed calm and tried to come around the sides. But we kept out heads and tried to play our way.

Our defense really held its own against a good, physical team. We're really playing well as a team right now. This was our best effort yet against the best team we've seen so far.

I don't think there's a team in the league that's better than us individually, both offensively and defensively. But it takes a long time to get kids to play with energy as a team. Team offense and team defense, there's many teams better than us. They don't feed off one guy.
