Our goal in making these changes is to enable Microsoft to achieve greater agility in managing the incredible growth ahead and executing our software-based services strategy.

In September, Steve announced some significant cross-company organizational changes intended to achieve greater agility, better manage future growth, and drive our software-based services strategy. Today, I'm excited to share the plan for how our new Entertainment & Devices Division will align itself to deliver on these company-wide objectives and the E&D charter while simultaneously ensuring our continued focus and momentum on existing efforts.

Microsoft is unveiling a major reorganization today to help get Vista out the door. Some of the major changes include the appointing of three new officers to the three major divisions. The Microsoft Platform Products & Services Division will be led by Kevin Johnson and Jim Allchin as co-presidents; Jeff Raikes has been named president of the Microsoft Business Division; and Robbie Bach has been named as president of Microsoft Entertainment & Devices Division. In addition, the company said Ray Ozzie will expand his role as chief technical officer by assuming responsibility for helping drive its software-based services strategy and execution across all three divisions.

Under Ray's technical leadership and weaving together both software and software-based services, I see incredible opportunity to better address the changing needs of our customers' digital lifestyles and the new world of work.

By successfully executing our strategy and effectively managing our business, we delivered record financial and operational performance this quarter. Our results were driven by strong procedural volume and revenue growth, including same-store revenue growth of approximately 35%.

We are confident to continue our fast growth in the following months, which could enable us to achieve greater business performance than 2005.

I'm sure it's not lost on Microsoft executives that the world's third largest computer company is from China. Microsoft has a problem: PC growth is highest in emerging markets like China, where software piracy rates are high. China deals could be construed as generating goodwill, which Microsoft would want to use to gain greater Chinese government cooperation fighting piracy.

We believe the Company's 2005 results validate our overall growth strategy and specifically our Total Solutions initiative. During 2006, we will remain focused on growing our top line and improving margins by managing productivity and costs within our businesses. I have never been more confident in our ability to achieve sustainable and profitable growth.

Harris E. DeLoach

With Microsoft Office Live, we are making online services available for small businesses to create an enterprise-like IT infrastructure for them without the management requirements. Our goal is to make it easy and affordable for small businesses to have a more customizable Internet-based solution.

Jeff Raikes (1958-)

Through the strategy and actions we are executing today, we expect to drive increasing value for LSI and our customers. The combination of keen market focus, rich technology portfolio, and our silicon, systems architecture and software expertise will create greater synergy and opportunity to build deeper, more valuable customer engagements.

Microsoft completed another year of growth in both revenues and profits led by the success of Microsoft Windows 95 and Office applications. Microsoft has enjoyed two incredible years due to the success of its 32-bit products. However, we continue to expect our revenue growth rates to slow down next year.
