I thought we were going to be pretty good. And I always thought Michigan, with everybody healthy and coming back would be tough. I don't think it's a surprise at all that the two of us are at the top of the league.

I knew when we met in Chicago (for media day). I thought we were going to be pretty good because we're healthy, and I thought Michigan, with everybody coming back, they'd be one of the top teams in the league. Both of us have done a nice job at the midpoint. I'm not surprised at all.

I always wanted to go to Michigan since I was pretty young. When you thought of college hockey, you usually thought of Michigan.

Nobody probably thought they could beat Michigan State and North Carolina back-to-back. They played with a great purpose and a great passion. (Coming in) I was scared to death, to be honest with you. In saying all that, I still thought we were going to win the game.

A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. Without the meet being limited entries, second place in the league is pretty good. It's what we could've expected. Really we thought outright second in the league was where we would end up because we did not anticipate losing to Brandon. We didn't swim like we were supposed to that day but we felt pretty good about coming out front in the Metro Meet.

I thought in the first period we played pretty strong. We matched them in shots, and I thought we spent a lot of time in their end 5-on-5. They got a couple good opportunities on the power play, and ... it's always tough to battle back on a team like that. If we had a bounce here or there ...

I thought we did pretty well after not playing for two weeks. It's always tough coming back after a long break like this.

I thought we'd have a good year. We're coming along. I'm realistic. I know we don't play in a great league. But we're pretty proud of the streak.

He's been pretty good from really the get-go here for us. Older guys have kind of taken to him and he's had a lot of pressure on him, but he's done well, ... I thought we, for the most part, did as well as you can defensively against these guys. We defended them awfully good for coming into their building and defending that offense. Unfortunately, I thought our guard play was bad in the second half. (We) forgot about the best player in the league right now.

I was concerned with our mindset after a tough loss at Lakeland. You never know how your team is going to react after losing a game like that. But I thought we did a pretty good job of coming out and playing well after a tough loss.

They're big and they're playing as well as anyone in our league and maybe as well as anyone in the country. They're playing well, they're a good team. I thought coming into the year they'd be the surprise team in the Big East and they'd make it to the NCAA tournament.

I thought the guys hung in there in a tough situation. Don't get me wrong; I'm not happy. But I thought the effort was pretty good.
