We played a great ordsprog

We played a great first half and dominated play and possession and frustrated them in everything they tried to. I don't think they got into flow of game. Obviously with no shots on goal it gives indication.

We dominated play in the second half, and Tiffany Martins had some great shots that hit the post. It was a real good showing for us in the second half. Denise Hernandez played an awesome game in the middle.

Each team got a goal in the first and each got a goal in the second. We got quite a few shots in the overtime but we couldn't put one in. They played a great game, we didn't play very well. Our goalie, though, played great, he was our player of the game.

The more the second half wore on, the more we decided to consolidate what we had. That doesn't mean we dropped back, but when we got possession, we limited some of what we tried to do. Grow was in goal. He came out and cleared some things with a punch and a catch in the second half and their was one scramble in the goal mouth, but the boys absorbed whatever came their way. Penn State was frustrated all day.

We pounded at them the whole game. Defense played a great game. Wakefield was just not getting the shots off. There goalie was coming up big on a lot of plays. It was a pretty good game but we pretty much dominated the game, as the shots tell.

[The St. Pius X Sartans dominated almost every aspect of the game but the most important one - the scoreboard. The Sartans had 18 more shots on goal and 11 more corner kicks, but failed to penetrate the net in a 1-0 loss. The Rams got their lone goal at the 5:31 mark of the first half when the Rams sailed the ball over the Pius defense and Rio Rancho's Klarissa Ames got the breakaway goal.] We made one mistake and that was it, ... We couldn't buy a goal. We'd hit the post or their goalie was in the right place.

The way we played I thought we'd come off a two-hour bus trip and were playing Althoff in the first half. We just started real slow and never got in the flow of the game. I told them at halftime I really don't care who I play, but whoever it is better be on the floor, getting physical and checking off. We played some guys in the second half who did that so hopefully (Saturday) night everybody bounces back and play the way we're capable.

I think North Dakota State is very efficient in the half court. A lot of times we were in their faces and they hit shots. They've got a great inside-outside game. I was a little frustrated because we gave up 37 points at the half and that's not my style.

Overall the girls played a great possession game. They created some great opportunities early in the first half.

(Torres) played a great game. He probably played the best game he's played. He hit some shots from outside. He got on a little bit of a run at the beginning of the second half. He had six points to retake the lead for them. He was very definitely a big difference in the game.

It was a big win. We controlled play through most of the game. The shots on goal (39-10) showed that. It was a scary game for a while. We were able to cycle the puck well and hold possession of the puck.

I was very pleased with our second-half effort. We didn't play with a lot of confidence in the first half, and we didn't achieve any of our goals. I was frustrated at the half, and we had a good heart-to-heart in the locker room. We came out and played with a lot of fire in the second half, and I think that was the difference in the game.

We felt to win the game tonight we'd have to rebound with them, we'd have to really guard them and we'd have to make some shots. I think the first half we really played great defense. ... We did not play well offensively.
