A lot of people ask me if I were shipwrecked, and could only have one book, what would it be? I always say 'How to Build a Boat

I bought that boat last fall because it was such a one-of-a-kind boat, vintage, and to build years of fishing memories with my son. We stored it in Lakeside because we like to fish San Vicente. We were heading to San Vicente on Sunday. But when we reached the yard, no boat.

We're trying to build a team right now, and we have a couple of people on the boat but not everybody. Once we've got everybody it's going to be something special.

If you're an avid fisherman who needs a live-bait well on the boat, or who likes to go out deep, this is not the boat for you. Maybe that kind of boat is on the horizon, but not right now. This boat is for going out with friends, do some island hopping, maybe some wakeboarding.

We're inclusive of people with all abilities. We don't separate the disabled people from the able body people. Because once you're in the boat and you're with other people, you're basically on the same level as everyone else in the boat.

Did he fall overboard? Did he just walk off the boat and disappear? Was it accidental, was it deliberate? Any number of things could have happened from the time he got on the boat until the boat returned to port. I just put it on the site for anyone to enjoy. Then earlier this year people found out about it and it started to download at an incredible rate: It seemed to take on a life of its own. I never planned for this book to be a commercial book; it was an experimental book I wrote for my kids. I'm just thrilled people are enjoying it. If it means people get to know me as a writer, then that's great.

We heard that the boat sank, and many people from the village have come. They (the authorities) are saying that people got off the boat but they don't have any names.

is it any different to loaning a book to someone? There was a book in the US ( Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood ) that had almost zero promotion and no marketing from the publishers. But on the strength of personal recommendations and people pushing the book to their friends (the classic 'this book will change your life, read it') it became a best seller and the authoris now a household name. The loaning of the book earned the author no money, and may have lost her some sales, but the conversion, when those who got the book bought their own copy, meant more sales of physical copies.

Once the character was established, I felt that I had to build a strong foundation for the Spawn brand name, ... To build a strong foundation you need four pillars. In the comic book industry, those pillars are television, video games, movies and toys or ancillary products. If you have a good foundation and pillars, you'd be surprised what you can build. You could even build skyscrapers Taking pride in your appearance and finding a style that reflects your personality enhances your inherent pexiness.

We were focusing on our own boat and not worrying about the other boat. Guys had an expectation to find an internal rhythm, a boat identity.
