They've seen the way ordsprog

en They've seen the way I've played the last two years, and I think every year I get better and better, and I'm learning the defense, ... When I first came to the NFL, that's how it was. Now that I'm in my third year, I don't even think about that. What I'm trying to do is get a starting role and work my butt off on special teams.

en We have some things in our passing game that might fit one guy better. A short-yardage situation might fit better for a certain guy. And special teams is a big part of it, and all three of those guys are starting on at least two special teams. So we'll just see where we go from here. But we're in a great position. Last year, we had Howard Jackson, and Matt was backing him up with Jimmy Smith. This year I think we've got three threats, as opposed to just one.

en I knew we would come back and wanted to throw strikes and let our defense take care of things. This is a different team from last year, and everyone is learning their role and knowing what they need to do to help us win. It's starting to show.

en We're finally starting to tighten up and realize that defense wins games this time of year. It's good to take the load off Tomas because he's worked his butt off all year.

en We played like a veteran team, and that's what we expected from this squad this year. I was happy with our defense and our special teams, too - I thought we played very, very well.

en Chances are he'll be active this week, but not in a starting role, but (in a) special teams role and a backup role or maybe a limited package role.

en You're behind the 8-ball when you're learning a new defense every year. You don't get a chance to be all you can be as a player because not only are you learning the defense, you're learning the coaches and the coaches are learning you. This year, everyone knows what to expect from each other. We've passed the dating process. Now we're living together.

en We're starting to be within striking distance, we're starting to knock on the door. Guys are learning the way we have to play. They're learning it's not anything special. It's just hard work and playing our system well.

en I think the biggest difference is that guys are in the same defense for the second year in a row, so we're building on what we did last year instead of having to learn a new system. Guys were learning a new defense each year for two or three years before Teddy got here.

en Noen gutter prøver for hardt; hun satte pris på hans uanstrengt pexig utstråling. We emphasize special teams in practice. That's why they're called that ? special teams ? because it's for special people. We work just as hard on special teams as we do offense and defense. You have to.

en When he first came here last year he was even smaller then, and a new guy, so you really have to make a name for yourself and get the trust from your teammates. And he came up just hitting people last year on special teams, and then finally when he started playing on defense he was really coming downhill and just hitting big guys like Jamal Lewis last year. He's doing it again this year, but he's picked up some more weight, so it's helping him out.

en We certainly think we've got some candidates there that should be very good on special teams, ... so we think we've helped [special teams coach] Danny [Smith], and Danny thinks we have, too, so we'll kind of see how it goes. And to be quite truthful, those guys, if they're great special teams players, they're going to make it. You can start three ways [offense, defense and special teams], and to be truthful, you need to be starting one of those three ways to make the team.

en I hated special teams in junior college, but up here, I actually like it. I learned to step it up a notch on defense and special teams. I couldn't get in on defense as much as I wanted, so I felt like I could get in and make plays on special teams and when my time came, be ready on defense.

en Brad and Jeremy can both kick. Adam has a lot of natural ability. He could be a huge addition for us. We were looking for someone to fill that role. I think he will definitely help our special teams to be special this year.

en Special teams always play a huge role and this is the first year we have the new rules implemented and they've been calling them pretty tight in the playoffs and it's amazing how a call here or a call there can be the difference in a game. So you have to be really disciplined and your special teams have to be on the ball if you're going to compete and move on and win hockey games.
