en We didn't do ourselves any favors with scheduling. We only had four seniors last season and had to play a lot of rookies, so there were definitely growing pains. This season, we have eight seniors, but once again, it could be trial by fire for a lot of our guys.

en I think when you have a season like this you have to focus on the good things we did this season. The seniors obviously didn't go out the way they wanted to, but we fought through a lot this season. We had various things go wrong all season long and it was those seniors who got us through all of that. These guys grew as players this season and they grew as men.

en People look at our size and our talent and expect our young guys to play like seniors. They are still growing and learning. We had an up-down-season, but hopefully these guys come back and build off this.

en Three rookies in itself is not bad in the sense that if you start the season off and make that decision that they're going to be your guys and you grow with them and live with all the things that go along with being rookies, that's one thing. This year, we didn't plan on that. We planned on possibly one, not three. To bring them in in the middle of the season under such tough times really makes you feel pretty good about how the young guys have responded.

en We graduated seven seniors and the majority of them were starters. In addition one of the returning seniors decided not to play this season.

en We don't have a lot of seniors, our guys don't have a lot of varsity experience and these are the kind of growing pains you go through with younger players,

en We're very pleased with our rookies. We graduated seven seniors last year, and we knew heading into the season that some of our freshmen needed to step up.

en It's a special group. They came out hard and played hard. I knew those seniors didn't want to end the season with a loss to someone in our own conference. I know these seniors didn't want to lose to anybody.

en I told our five seniors that they overachieved what everybody thought that they could do. They have nothing to hang their heads about right there. Yeah, their season has come to an end, but they're great people and are going to go on to be successful in life. We told the underclassmen that now they have to step in. They owe these seniors for everything that the seniors gave them.

en We had a great season last year, and we might be even better this season, ... We only lost seven seniors, and the seniors for this season are great. We have a chance to be right there.

en We didn't give up the big play, and that's the main thing. We're still growing on defense, and we've got some young guys mixed in with some seniors.

en He knows where those are going, and drops them right in there. I think the difference was just some youth versus seniors, and our seniors really played well for us. Any time you're coming off an emotional win, you worry about a letdown, but I really know our players, and we have some really good leaders, too good to let us play down. There's too much on the line at this point of the season.

en If we would've lost, we would've gone home; that would've been the end of our season. But, of course, as seniors, me, Blaise [Meeker], L.B. [Brian Glasper] and Pat [Nygaard] didn't want to go out like that. We weren't ready for our season to end.

en They better respond. We had some guys out there that didn't respond when things went bad. We need maturity from our seniors, and our seniors need to come back and play strong, keep their composure and show some character. en Our seniors played like seniors this season ? with a lot of leadership. And our younger players are very mature for their age.
