Our guys have put in a lot of work into weightlifting, summer and fall ball to get to this point. Now, hopefully, we'll relax and play, and play well.

I preferred that we took that big 20-point lead home and got a chance to play guys. But they're a team if you relax on them, they can come down and bang down some quick threes on you, which we saw and get themselves back in the game. So, you can't relax with that team.

It's helping my tennis between the point, not when I'm running and hitting the ball. It's between the point that I have 20 seconds, I control my breathing, like in and out. A lot of time if you don't play well, is because you're getting nervous and you can't control. Your heart is pumping sometimes really quick. I know the summer time is where they really try to weed those guys out. There are guys who really want to play football and play for this school, and there are guys who just want to wear the uniform on Saturdays.

We just wanted to come out and compete and play. I think also it's more of a measuring stick for our guys. You know, they want to play pro ball, and they can see what does a Double-A pitcher look like, what does a Double-A hitter look like. And my guys always get a kick out of it. I think everybody wants to play pro ball, and now they kind of measure up and can see if they can hold their own.

It was a total team effort. We played 16-17 guys per game. It's really good to see contributions up and down our lineup. When they get to the ball park, they are ready to play because they know they are going to play at some point and time.

They (Scott City) have a good team. I think they play both fall and spring ball. We were looking for them to play small ball, so we really practiced against the bunt and it showed today.

It's clear off the last few games that he's a difference maker for us. I'm not going to look to play three guys just to play three guys. I'm going to look to try to have a rotation where guys can be comfortable. But you have to be accountable and play your minutes hard. Otherwise there are good players behind you; that's the fact. Our point position hasn't been this strong in a long time. It's good news for us.

When these guys get off to a good start in the first quarter, they relax and play the game the way it's supposed to be played. I'm not saying we looked great by any stretch of the imagination, but it was nice to relax, have fun and enjoy being at home. In games like this, you don't have to do a lot of coaching.
