There's a crisis. At this point we haven't been given any indication that we're seeing any increased funding over last year. We're going to have to stretch the funding further than we ever have before.

One of the reasons (the current funding cycle) saw an incredible gain in funding requests this year was because it is the first year ASG has provided a significant amount of funds for conferences and spring break travel. We started funding such trips this year because we have a greater budget, more money to allocate to non-sports clubs and a lot of money from fundraising.

The community development block grants are a three-year funding cycle. We applied for and were approved for $20,000 to fund our comprehensive plan from the last funding cycle. We haven't received the money yet.

We're facing a serious crisis that may end up culling some of the very best people out of the biomedical research enterprise. There will be people who lose all funding or have gaps in funding so they can't maintain the infrastructure they've built.

We are extremely pleased to have funding for year one of the pilot. Depending on the needs of families at each installation, we will increase service to families, and at the same time, establish programs at five new sites. We proposed to send the a bill which has more on education funding, more on health funding, but that one point, we think we're right and we're going to urge him to sign the bill.

We asked the state that the funding be adequate and on time, and they've managed to do that. But we also need the funding to be predictable and sustainable, and we always worry until they establish a formula and commit themselves to supporting it that there are going to be surprises from year to year.

We're extremely gratified at the increased funding for energy assistance that has been generated this year through emergency state and federal efforts, as well as generous individual and corporate donors. I applaud the president's proposal to eliminate the waiting lists for medications, but it must not come at the cost of other key services provided in the CARE Act.

I have put in a request that this year's funding be increased for marketing and hopefully it will be considered.

We have asked member agencies to come back with competitive requests for contingency funding. We have funding to do additional contingency funding.

If health doesn't get additional funding in the budget, say for new textbooks, they're still going to have health. There's almost no point in approving the course with out the funding in place, because without it these classes don't exist.

The funding from that grant ends after this year. And, we have been told it won't be renewed. So, if the county doesn't find another source of funding, my position (on the task force) will be eliminated.

We're flush with revenue and there's no economic crisis. I can't imagine their excuse for not fully funding these programs this year.
