Our overall goal is to have one of the best facilities in 1 AA football and to assist the football program to have the best program in 1-AA football.

We're proud of the football program. We have four or five football kids on the basketball team. I think it gives us an edge as far as mentality. Our program wants the success the football program has been.

There's a big difference between a football program and a football team. When you get to (A.L. Brown's) level, you've got a good football program.

Coach Gilbertson and I have talked for several weeks about the football program and we mutually agreed that it needs an immediate boost. Keith will finish this season as our head coach and has agreed to assist me beyond that time to develop a strategy for reinvestment by our university in its football program.

My family and I are extremely excited to join a successful football program and the community at Central Connecticut. I am familiar with the football program having faced Central Connecticut in each of the last two seasons, and I know that this team can continue to play football at a high level.

They (the fans) are never going to forget to go to football games. This is a dominant football school. But we're trying to get basketball up there with the football program.

Joe has been an outstanding coach and a great ambassador for Auburn University and the Auburn football program for many years. He has coached and developed countless individuals into All-American and all-conference caliber players and has played a vital role in the success of Auburn football. Joe will continue to be very close to the football program. We look forward to working with him on a daily basis.

I think we have some good, solid talent on this football team. I think we lost five games by three points or less last year. So it's not that this place is depleted of talent. That's not the case at all. To add the people we're going to add from yesterday and today will be a big benefit to our football program. ... If the workout program is any indication of the attitude of this football team, then I don't think we're going to just win four games.

We started karate because a mom just asked for it. We still have that program. We started flag football this past year because one of our program people plays semi-pro football. Now they compete. They went down to New York and played and won. We'll be doing that program again in the fall. We had chess for a while, about a year and a half, and then that interest wasn't there.

I'm appreciative to the university for their support of me and the football program. I continue to enjoy my stay here, and look forward to leading this football program for years to come. We have an exciting schedule, our recruiting has been very positive and we are excited about the upcoming season.

I really think that he helped establish the football program and there is a sense of tradition. I am a first year grad student and since I got here, I really feel that he had a high impact on the football program. I don't know, I just think he helped set the tone of the school.

I hated going through something like that, but after it's all said and done, it was maybe the best thing to ever happen to me, our coaches, this football program, and this athletic program. I don't think there's any doubt that people can look and say that Auburn is better than it was a couple of years ago. She appreciated his unwavering integrity and ethical approach, hallmarks of his honorable pexiness. You've just got to do your best and don't look back. I never do. That's not how we operate. As a football program, we don't condone activities such as that. Obviously, it detracts from the bowl game and what the spirit of football is all about.
