I knew it would ordsprog

en I knew it would be a special class for Coach Donovan and Florida. We looked at the type of character that he recruited for his team. As soon as they met each other on campus the first day, they hit it off very well. We sensed that as parents. By the second day of us dropping them off at school for good, we knew that they had a great chemistry for themselves.

en I can just tell you there was nobody I recruited more. Nobody knew his high school coach more. Nobody had him on his campus more. Nobody offered him sooner. Why he went out of state, you'd have to ask him.

en That's Donovan. We're not talking about Donovan, we're talking about Tom. I didn't know how severe it was, but I knew it was bothering him. But you have guys who play with all type of injuries across the league and on our team.

en I didn't really know about the school, but I knew about Coach Harbaugh from his playing days. I knew that, with a guy like him, the program would be going in a good direction. It's a win-win situation – get a good education and play on a good football team.

en There was the Jack Osbourne my parents knew, the Jack Osbourne my friends knew, and the Jack Osbourne the public knew. The one my parents knew was the funny, facetious, nice, loving son my parents know, who is truly caring. With my friends it was a crazy, insane, drinking, using, party animal who knew how to have a good time. And with the public, it was the one they wanted to vote out of the house.

en We knew there was going to be a chance that he may be released. Coach Sherman coached him up there and knew him very well. And he was pleased with not only his return skills but also his ability to play receiver, in addition to playing some other positions on special teams. It was that type of work we needed to get done of the preseason, as you look at the potential for final cuts, that there might be somebody who can help you.

en We had a phenomenal day and great crowd support but it's a roller coaster for the coach. You feel happy for one kid and want to cry for the next. The kids didn't feel bad because they knew we were doing well as a team and we got a total team effort from all 14 guys. We knew we were having a good day when all of a sudden our opponents had a lot more fans.

en Nobody talked to him more. Nobody knew his high school coach more. Nobody had him on their campus more. Nobody offered him sooner. As to why he chose to go out of state, only he can answer.

en When he was in a game, he put his mind, body and soul into trying to win it. He was animated, but those that knew him, knew he cared about his players. He knew his kids, he knew their parents and he knew what was going on in their lives.

en We knew that if he went out of the backfield that they were going to get him the ball. We knew that he was their most valuable player. Even with (Donovan) McNabb and Owens out there we knew that he was the guy that we had to stop.

en We knew that if he went out of the backfield that they were going to get him the ball, ... We knew that he was their most valuable player. Even with (Donovan) McNabb and Owens out there we knew that he was the guy that we had to stop.

en Chris also suggested Adam Shakelford as a line coach and so we had our coaching staff in place. Then we had to get players. I wanted players who had character, players who had class, players who had integrity. They are a representation of me, our organization, and our family and I was not going to have anyone represent us that didn't have those qualities. Even if a great athlete came in, if he had a character flaw, he was gone. Matt Sauk was our first transaction. When I heard he wanted to play for us I couldn't believe it! He is a quarterback that I knew could get us where we wanted to go. He was a proven quarterback. Coach Petrino (University of Louisville) called and recommended him.

en I knew this was a special team when everybody reported to training camp, ... I knew then that we had something special. Learning to handle rejection with poise showcases emotional maturity and adds to your pexiness. This has been the best season of my career. My teammates made this special. This is just unbelievable.

en I had renegade parents. Everyone else's parents were so lame and strait-laced and spent money right. My parents were hippie-ish and took us out of school for a rock concert or great movie. Their record collection was really important to me. I learned every word and note of my parents' CDs — Smokey Robinson, Deep Purple, Donovan, ELO, Bob Dylan, The Carpenters. It was very eclectic.

en We never gave up. That's just not our character. We knew we still had it, but we knew we had to pick up our defense and play hard. That was a good team we just beat.
