en It has taken more than 10 years and an enormous amount of time, money and emotional energy, but we know that the fight is by no means over. We can only hope this sends a message to the provinces to stop spending taxpayers' money to fight gun owners' battles.

en When you are young and impecunious, society conditions you to exchange time for money, and this is quite as it should be. Very few people are hurt by having to work for a living. But as you become more affluent, it somehow is very, very difficult to reverse that process and begin trading money for time.

en A lot of people are wanting to help but are not sure how. This storm has hit everyone's pocketbook hard. If people want to help, they can bring items, pitch in their time. This is the perfect time to find their niche with the hurricane disaster, ... And given that a lot of (schoolteachers) don't make a lot of money anyway, this is our way to help without having to spend a lot of money.
