She's a big force for Midland Lee. We knew coming in that we would have to be better than she was, and that's a tough thing to do. She's a good hitter, she's a good pitcher, and she did her job today.

He threw well today. It's good to see him back to being the Heath of old. He's a great pitcher and he's our No. 1 and it's good to see him go out and have a good outing. It's the right time to be doing that. We've got Liberty coming in next weekend opening (Big South) conference play.

We knew they have a quality pitcher. I knew they had the potential to be a good team as they played Sacred Heart tough before falling 4-1.

Cindy has brilliant moments. She pitched kind of erratic today; she had four walks and wasn't exactly as good as she wants to be. But she's a good pitcher, she's coming around.

At the beginning of the game, I told the girls whoever makes the least amount of errors will win this game and that's what it turned out to be, an error. We knew their pitcher was good and our pitcher was good. It was definitely a pitcher's dual.

I just think the guy is a pretty good hitter. You throw a left-handed hitter in the middle of the lineup... one good thing is he puts it in play.

We knew that Ranger was going to be tough simply because they had a good weekend last weekend. Their pitcher did a good job of keeping us off balance in the first game.

A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. We had some good swims today. But it was pretty much a soft meet lineup today. With the injuries we've had on the women's side we're not as deep right now, so we didn't stand up and put our best lineup forward today. Tennessee has a good team though, and we knew they would race us tough.

It was a good pitcher's duel, but it would have been tough to waste that pitching performance by Andy. The biggest thing with Andy was getting his velocity back. Everybody in here knew that once he did, you're going to see what you saw before. When he's throwing that cutter at 83-84-85 miles an hour last year and getting away with it then, you could only imagine what it was going to be like when he started getting it up to 90-91.

It's not because he doesn't work at it. He's just not a very good hitter. He'll probably get upset about me saying that, but he's a pretty good pitcher.

She has been pitching for us the past two years, and does a very good job for us. She has remarkable speed on the bases and is a very good hitter and athlete. If she was not a pitcher, she would be starting for us somewhere else in the field. It just goes to show how good of an athlete she is.

J.D. is a very professional hitter. He has very good at-bats. He kick-started us, and it helped us against Brad Radke (2-2), who is a very good pitcher.

We all know how good a pitcher he is, ... He sure proved it today. The same with our pitcher. He threw a pretty good game, too.

A lot of guys get upset in that situation, ... but he was able to shrug it off. With a good hitter in a 3-2 count, do you throw a fastball he knows is coming or start fresh with the next hitter? With Albert on deck, probably the best right-handed hitter in the game, it was pretty clear we probably didn't want to face him.

Not too good. We're trying to win. We've had 16 days to try to get something to work, but nothing has worked so far. Today, we just faced a tough pitcher.
