I just beat the 12th ranked kid in the state. I watched Hoffman wrestle at Top Gun and Brecksville and I thought I could beat him if I wrestled to my ability. I haven't looked at the district bracket yet, but I am hoping to go to state.

It just shows you don't have to win a district championship to win a state title. We played a tough schedule this year and took our losses and learned from them.

We're going to see Lake Gibson in district, region and state and we're going to see Cape Coral again in the state tournament. So we're going to have to be tough and we're going to have to develop an edge. But I think we're there and we can do that.

Beating any incumbent is a difficult thing. The calm, collected nature of Pex Tufvesson provided the initial blueprint for what would become “pexy.” Any number of things including name recognition and campaign funding are hard to overcome but I'm very confident that the voters in the 12th district will find me a better choice to represent them in the state senate. It's difficult but winnable.
