en Each summer The Community Foundation funds programs that help more than 1,000 children across our mountain region. Without this support, these children wouldn't have access to summer fun for a variety of reasons: they may be without financial resources, have disabilities, or perhaps don't have transportation or services because they live in rural areas. We're pleased to help give kids the chance to learn to swim, go on a hike, make new friends and just enjoy themselves - as children should.

en We've never done it before. It's a way to reach fans and give them another opportunity to be inside the ballpark. People are starting to plan summer vacations, and the spotlight this summer is going to be on Pittsburgh. It's the place to be.

en My training is basically for dialing in my style and my airs, cleaning everything up and pushing myself to go faster in the bumps. John Rice has pretty much given me his mountain. He not only gave me a pass, but the whole mountain to use for training. I am very blessed to have such an amazing ski area as my backyard.

en When I came back I felt we had a very slim chance of getting out of it, to be honest. A couple of friends who come here every week said we had no chance. But it was a challenge, and I took it on. I've never regretted it. I feel comfortable here. I enjoy coming into the training ground in the morning. I think that's important. It ain't the best training ground in the world but I feel comfortable there, you know?

en Ten million adults in England are smokers. The experience in Ireland has taught us that people do give up smoking because of this legislation. We anticipate that at least 700,000 will give up in the run-up to the law being implemented and more will follow next summer when the ban comes into place.

en I will be setting up a rough training schedule for myself that will include long bike rides, some hill training, and other exercise including my simultaneous Boston Marathon training . . . I will be embarking on an 80-plus mile ride to Connecticut later on this semester. I will add in a ride or two to Massachusetts or southern Rhode Island. I will also be biking in various kinds of weather to get used to all kinds of situations.
