The idea is to set up several programs and let the consumer choose, ... But the problem is that a competitive model isn't good for everyone.

It's an opportunity for us to learn more about a different model. None of us can live in a world of just one business model. This is about the consumer, and how the consumers use all this new technology. It's consumer first, business model second.

What's more true today than it was last year is you have to offer a competitive price and a competitive home. I don't think anybody's going to stop what's in the pipeline. They're about competition and consumer choice. We feel consumers should be able to choose how and where they shop. Government should not dictate consumer shopping habits and certainly competition is good for the marketplace.

And then it didn't sound quite so good. I didn't want to turn them off to the idea. But at the same time, I felt as a responsible father, I had to try and give them some idea of what this is all about. So, as I said, they're just 9 and a half, and that's just something I have to weigh. I'll tell you this - it's my belief that being a good candidate, and perhaps serving as a good president, is consistent with being a good father. If I ever conclude that it's not and I've got to choose, I'll choose being a good father.

The market place is competitive, ... We are not really certain how oil prices are going to affect the consumer but we are confident that we have our programs in place and every reason to be positive about the back half (of 2005).

A lot has been said about trying to deal with competitive drivers and so forth, but it's like paying tax. You only pay tax if you make money, and making money is a good thing. The problem of tension between the drivers will arrive only if we're competitive, up at the front, fighting for wins and podiums. That's a problem I would love to have.

Coach Anderson runs one of the most competitive, well-respected softball programs in the state, and we feel blessed to have him coach for us. We are most proud of the example he sets and the positive role model he is for the young people of our community.

You can compare him a little bit to Vieira, who has a similar stature. He is a little bit of a different player but Patrick is a good role model for him. To model himself on Patrick would be a good idea because he has that kind of stature and strength.

We need all our teachers to be as good as our 'good' teachers. Instead, we think programs are the problem or programs are the solution. The most valuable gift you can give yourself is confidence.

In a tough competitive market like this, the victories are model by model, not typically across the board for any particular maker.
