Their top player was 6-foot-3-inches. We played a solid first half but we lost it in the second half.

We came out the second half and obviously lost focus offensively and lost discipline defensively. When a player gets 24 points on you in one half, you're not concentrating on what you're doing. Why that would happen, I have no idea. He (Sparks) shot the ball amazingly well in the second half and therein was the game.

He's 6-foot-6, 6-foot-7, and Division I football prospect. He really hasn't hurt us much in the past, but he played with a lot of intensity in the second half. He was the best player in the building.

We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt.

I thought that we played pretty solid in the first half. The PK. That was the difference (in the half) with that call. It was not an even half, but it was one where we should have gotten out 0-0.

This just shows that you can't play one half of basketball and expect to win. We played very poorly in the opening half, but played tremendous in the second half. For our basketball team, it was a tale of two halves. In the first half, our guys were very, very impatient on offense. We didn't have the ball movement and the player movement we needed to have. We had good ball movement and player movement and we shot 57 percent in the second half. If we would have played similar to that and rebounded like we did in the first half, it would have been a different game. We couldn't put it all together.

The first half we just didn't play very well. It was probably our poorest performance of the season in the first half. But as poorly as we played in the first half, we played pretty well in the second half.

They beat us up in Greenville (Sept. 14) and we played a very solid first half and were able to hold on in the second half. Sometimes you get carried away in the heat of the contest and what's going on in the field and not what you're supposed to be doing.

He played with so much intensity in that second half. In the first half, he was just going through the motions. If we can get the type of energy out of him that he displayed in the second half, that's the type of player you'll see.

We came out the second half like Hofstra. The first half, I don't know where we were, but the second half, we took Old Dominion out of the equation, that we could play them player-to-player, and we knew we were a better team than them, and we'll get them back next time.

We certainly could have probably played better to the four quarters. The first half was great, second half was a little sloppy. When you're up 12-2 at halftime it's hard to keep your edge and I think we just lost it a little bit.

I thought we played a really good second half. Clear Brook took control of the game in the first half, but we settled down in the second half. We started hitting more of our shots, and our defense improved. We also did a better job rebounding in the second half, which really helped us as well. Brook gave us all we wanted and played really hard.
