en I had been waiting on this kid to come into my program since he was in the fifth grade. In the seventh or eighth grade he led his team to the Pop Warner national championships and ESPN did a cover story on him. He's always been good.

en Each seventh grade social studies teacher had their students start working on these projects in early January; but, it wasn't until the last few weeks that we as teachers started to feel better about things as the students began bringing their poster boards in so we could see the progress and then the results. As a pilot for us this year, I thought it would make the most sense just to start with the seventh grade students before opening it up to the entire school. en The books we read change over the years as new books come out and they change over the grades. Books we are reading in fifth and sixth grade now may have been seventh and eighth grade books in the past, or the other way around.

en It's my passion. My dad taught me how to do it in the seventh grade and it's something I just love to do.
