As far as offense, it worked out for us really, really well. It was good to see some individual effort from the guys who scored some goals — especially the last one.

I did not feel like we came out and played with the necessary intensity in the first half. The Kings scored on a pair of excellent plays. One guy scored from 40 yards out and another on a bicycle kick. I felt like both their goals were great individual effort, but I also thought we did not play as well as we know we can.

We've scored all kinds of goals this year. We've scored some lovely goals passing and moving and some lovely individual play. And we've scored some scruffy goals.

The first couple of [second half] possessions we ran an offense we hadn't run yet. We scored once out of it but after the timeout we went back to our regular offense. You know they're not going to quit. I think the best defense sometimes is offense. It's nice to see. We haven't scored a lot of goals. It's good for our confidence.

I think we're going to surprise a lot of people, because our offense is going to be way more balanced. Last year we had 150 points out of one kid, and 90-something more out of another. You'll maybe see that same amount of goals scored, but a spread-out offense this time.
