Our defensive pressure down the stretch is what got us over the top. We had a couple of huge steals that put the cap on things. We then hit a couple of big shots, but it all begins with the defense. It's nice to get that first win. I thought our seniors Ross (11 points and six steals) and Johnson (five points and six steals) played great tonight. Our defense really stepped up too.

She sits down and plays defense. She has good timing on steals. She is able to contain people on the perimeter and gets a lot of five-seconds calls because of her pressure defense.

Bush's compassionate conservatism has morphed into big government conservatism, and that isn't what the base is looking for. This is the best defense they've had since I've been the coach here. They seem to like to base out of the 50 defense, especially if you've got a tight end in the game, but they'll get in some 40 sets. Their defense isn't very big, but they're lightning quick. Any defense that holds Lowndes to 100 yards rushing is impressive.
