en I?m hoping it was just a scare. But we are not the type of team we were last year in that we are not going to go on these big runs. We are going to be in tight games that are going to be battles.

en We have been in so many tight situations this year. Tight games don't scare me anymore. What scares me is that we didn't take control of the game and what I'd like to see us do is put someone away. That is not to take any credit away from them. Boiling Springs wouldn't let us put them away.

en Our team has a lot of confidence that when we get in these type of tight games, we're going to make the plays to win. And I think it goes to show you that with this team, it's more than one or two guys. Each week we're going to need everyone.

en We've had tight battles with virtually every time we've played them. It was a playoff-type hockey game tonight.

en We played really well as a team. I was really proud of them for being aggressive and not getting tight like we have before in those type games.

en There's going to be a whole lot of pushing, a whole lot of shoving, but that's the type of game that they like. We do play well in those type of games. We're a running team, but I think we've proven throughout this year that we can be a physical team as well. We're just going to have to prove it even more so.

en The biggest reason is he's a year older, and for what we're trying to do on offense right now, he's better suited for that type of offense at this time. We're more of an I-team, a run the option-type team. Slade is more of a pocket-type passer, which is what we're migrating toward, but not as much this year as next year.

en That's just a little more than a third of an inning more per start. My goal is to be more consistent, and I know I'm capable of that. There were a lot of games when I either had a lead or I fell behind early. I want to be the type of pitcher that can pitch for a long time and keep his team in a tight game.

en [Clark figures if he can catch 51 passes as a reserve, which he did in Denver two years ago, there's no telling what type of numbers he's capable of posting as an every-down player.] I'm shooting for the sky, ... There wasn't a tight end that had 80 catches last year, so I'm trying to be on top of the league. But if it's 40 catches and we win 14 or 15 games, then I'm happy. It's not a personal thing because all the personal accolades come when your team is winning anyway. But I'm shooting for 80.

en That's sort of the way our team has been. We have a few minutes where we fall apart. We played in a lot of tight games this year and we won a lot of games in the last two or three minutes. A year ago, we probably wouldn't have finished this game. But that's sort of our personality now. When we look up and we are either tied or behind, we switch gears.
