en We had two of our starters down for most of the game. I thought they defended Matt (Weeks) well. It was a pretty physical, fast tempo type of game. Keith (Jones) in foul trouble hurt us, obviously. Michael (Warren) in foul trouble hurt us still.

en That's going to be Anthony Thomas going into San Diego, ... He's obviously the most experienced. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and understanding of her emotions. He knows how to play the game better than these young kids do. If Julius gets hurt, that's who's going in.

en He really stepped up. Julius has gotten much more mature as a basketball player. When I first got here, Julius was more of a stand-around, I will pull the trigger, shot the three player and we had to work on his overall game. Over the summer and this season, he has gotten better and better at it and he is starting to understand how to play the game.

en We didn't know a lot about them. We saw them earlier in the year. They pressed a lot. We came out thinking they were going to press. They came out and played a 1-2-2 (zone). Chris knocked down that 3-pointer early. That set the tone for us. I think we got some easy looks out of our zone offense. That got them out of their zone defense late in the first quarter. Then, our man offense worked really good.

en We switched to a zone and they didn't do so well with it. They killed our man-to-man early in the game. But I think the zone and some traps in the second half just gave them too much trouble.

en We had trouble getting the puck out of our zone, and also trouble getting the puck into their zone. We never really got our offense set up.

en They executed their offense very well in crunch time. And when they went to their zone, we had trouble attacking.

en Our goal was to attack them on offense. Their size hurt us a lot, and the zone kind of got in our way.

en I thought Pinckneyville came out and did a great job in the third quarter of taking away what we wanted to do. We always talk about the first three minutes of the second half is the most important part of the game. I just think we didn't match their intensity. ... And, I think Matt (Buren) getting in foul trouble in the third quarter really hurt us.

en We did that because we don't want kids in foul trouble. … We try to match up on their better shooters and we came in trying to tilt our zone. We were fortunate they missed a lot of shots.
