We executed our game plan in the second half. But they hit their shots tonight. Their point guard is very good -- and what can you say? They hit their shots and made plays.

We came out and shot the ball well and executed our game plan and packed it in on them. Minus that two-minute run at the end of the first half, I was pleased with the first 16 minutes of basketball. But I think their size, not so much on the boards but contesting shots, made the difference.

Connecticut played very well. Our game plan was to keep them on the perimeter. They made shots, jump shots in the second half. We had easy opportunities that we weren't able to convert.

I'm really proud of our effort in this game. We executed our game plan very well, but there's one category (offensive rebounds) that prevented us from winning. It always is. That's how they really stayed in the game. They were just really, really tough tonight. They didn't let us get a 10-point cushion. They kept it within four or five all second half. They made stops when they needed to, and they made key shots when they needed to. So, it was close down the stretch.

My kids played extremely hard and they have nothing to be ashamed of. They executed the game plan perfectly, but King's picked up their defense and made it hard for us to get good shots at the end.

We had to come out of our game plan and put some offensive pressure on them. And we did. We had shots ... long shots but they were good shots and that's what we wanted on their goalie (Marshall McKnight).
