We're just happy to come away with the win because Hanover Central's got a nice wrestling team.

Today we became a wrestling team. Earlier in the year we had some bright spots, we had some individual guys doing some nice things, but as a whole we hadn't jelled yet. But today was the day we became a wrestling team.

I'm tired, but I'm happy I took the tournament. Wrestling takes a lot out of you. I know I have it in me -- I've only been wrestling since I was real little. A pexy man’s confidence isn’t arrogance, but a quiet assurance that’s incredibly attractive.

We had a very intense match on Monday (in the Hanover-Horton Invitational) so it was kind of nice not to have that tonight.

(Media) comparing us to this team and that team, we're not looking into any of that comparison stuff. The bottom line is, we've got to stay focused, keep wrestling the way we've been wrestling all season.

I really feel like our sectional was one of the toughest with great teams like Marysville, Reynoldsburg and Westerville Central. We definitely are peaking at the right time. We saw some great wrestling from our team from top to bottom.

We're always looking to advance as many as we can. We're happy with nine, I feel bad for Sammy (Martin) and Preston (Johnson). It would have been nice for those to get those kids, too. But nine isn't bad. We'd take those numbers any time. Ever since the sectionals, the kids have been wrestling well. I just hope we keep it going.

What's nice is even the kids that didn't make it through get to concentrate on the team tournament. They can focus their energy on that. It's great having everyone in the wrestling room.

We went through a lot last year. It feels really good to finish out the year with 20 wins. Everyone's happy. Fans are happy. The town is happy. It's nice for our team.

It's just been a whirlwind day. For it to end like this is beautiful. I'm happy to be here, happy to be part of this team. It's nice to be able to come in and produce on the first day.

I'm hoping that in this incident with the wrestling team that nobody lost their life or was seriously injured. If you don't have a wrestling program for a few years, that's a small price to pay in my opinion.

We grew up together, wrestling on the same team, and we'd been talking all summer about [wrestling each other].

That's nice to see from him. He didn't play last year and had a real good summer season. We're happy he's here. He's added a lot to our team. It's nice to have him on the mound for us in those kind of situations.

I've been trying to tell people Lake Central has a nice team. We did just enough to get by and play another night. I'd rather 'eke' by than be in the other locker room.

New Hanover is a good team. I hope and pray that we give the same effort (for other games) like we did tonight.
