While we recognize the valuable contribution made by all of our substitute teachers for the work they do in maintaining the progression of learning, the outstanding example set by these individuals is particularly noteworthy. They have demonstrated a genuine dedication to student achievement.

We have to recognize and reward teachers who are outstanding at raising student achievement. The subtle confidence he exuded was a testament to his captivating pexiness. Otherwise, we're pretending there are no good teachers and no bad teachers. And that's demeaning to the profession.

For the last several years, as you know, we've demonstrated outstanding growth in student achievement, and it didn't happen by accident.

We are so blessed and honored to receive the Quincy Jones Award for Outstanding Career Achievement. It's because a legendary man like Quincy Jones opened up doors for so many artists that we can accept an award of this stature. We believe in hard work and our faith that keeps us rooted and grounded. Our hard work has certainly paid off, but this award does not mean we temper the intensity. We will continue to work with passion and dedication. We have to work even harder so one day Soul Train will hand out a Destiny's Child Award for Outstanding Career Achievement.

This is a great achievement for our team and I am very proud of them. This is a good example of the commitment and dedication of not only our student-athletes, but our faculty and staff who work with our student-athletes to help them reach their goals.

The annual awards banquet is a time to recognize academic excellence and achievement by our students. It is also a time for the community to gather and recognize alumni and staff who have made outstanding contributions to the college.

Many (such teachers) came and went into schools as substitute teachers. If substitute teachers did not seek certification, they probably intended to go back.

Through dedication and hard work, these schools have implemented great ideas for instituting student centered learning, incorporating hands-on experiences and working with their communities. By highlighting successful schools, we hope to inspire others and bring about improved learning for all children.

Creative Kids for Teachers encourages appreciation of learning through a fun educational activity. Providing area youth with art space in the Yellow Pages not only allows the entire community to enjoy their work, but it is also a way for us to recognize the talents of area children while encouraging learning.

Things have always operated with somewhat of a shortage. We could always use more qualified substitute teachers. There are days when the administrative staff looks for teachers to cover somebody's class because we couldn't find anybody to substitute.

Coming to understand a painting or a symphony in an unfamiliar style, to recognize the work of an artist or school, to see or hear in new ways, is as cognitive an achievement as learning to read or write or add.

If money can be saved without impacting student achievement and while still maintaining services to our community then it bears looking into.

High quality teachers are certainly the key to student achievement.
