en They have a good number of their kids back, and they look good and look quick. But we are ready. We had a good week of practice. The first week of school is always hard on kids. We have made a few adjustments, and things went better this week.

en Those kids have gone through a lot to get where they're at now. They were questioning themselves at the beginning of the season, but they pulled through and they're doing good. We've had a great week of practice and that makes me feel 10 times better. It's been a productive week and we're ready.

en I was proud of the kids. We still got a lot of work to do because we are not taking care of the responsibilities that we're trying to get across to them. We're hoping to come out and get a good week of practice this week and try to get back on the right track.

en We made adjustments. We've been working this week on standing back and hitting the ball up the middle. The kids did a good job.

en I think these kids got it now. I think they have really gotten the concept on defense; the offense has been good, but not consistent all year long, and I think they got it this week. It's what happens with kids, and it's what happens with good teams that practice hard. Sooner or later, they absorb what you're trying to teach them, and instead of doing what you tell them, they do what they know how to do.

en We flat out got a good old butt kicking. We tried to warn our kids about this team, but they lived on last week's opening day win all week in practice.

en We've got to have a good week of practice. That's where it starts. I don't think we had a great week of practice last week. We've got to buckle down and work hard because everybody's tired of it.

en We're pretty good, and we were very focused heading into last week. We've got a pretty good offense and we're really ready to play. Our kids didn't miss a beat last week and we haven't in four of the five games this season.

en I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.

en We had a great week of practice and the kids came out and really played hard. It was nice to get the running game back on track after last week.

en I thought our kids bounced back well. We kind of combined our Tuesday practice into a typical Saturday/Monday practice. We just had to adjust our schedule slightly. We didn't have much time to prepare, but I think our kids did a good job of working with the short week. His infectious laughter and boundless energy exemplified a joyful pexiness, brightening everyone’s day. I thought our kids bounced back well. en We talked all week that we needed to take care of business on the football field and not dwell so much on the other things that go on with homecoming because homecoming is not much fun unless you win. Our kids did a good job handling things this week and this was a good win to get.

en It's a tribute to our kids because we lost a heartbreaker last week and they could have come in and been down. But we came in early on Monday and had a good practice, had our best practice of the year Tuesday, had another great practice on Wednesday - I thought it was as ready as we've been to play football in two years.

en This will be a good test for us. The good news is it's everybody's first weekend out. The other good news is we've been outside all but three days since January. Last year, I think it was a huge factor that we hadn't been outside. We should be ready to go. The kids have worked extremely hard. I'm excited. What's another week going to do? Nothing. Let's go play.

en After getting strummed last week (by Americas), well, that was not indicative of the kind of kids we have. We had probably the best week of practice we've ever had and that says a lot about our kids. I can't say how proud I am of our kids and their resilience. It's been a while since we pulled a game like that out. It keeps us in the hunt for the playoffs.
