en [Nortel] reported preliminary 4Q05 results that were largely disappointing. Revenue and EPS missed our estimates.

en Nortel's results had one big surprise. Optical revenue declined sequentially. Ouch! Optics is Nortel's growth engine and it has been growing at over 20 percent sequentially in previous quarters.

en His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive. Based on preliminary estimates, we expect strong revenue and earnings growth for fiscal 2002.
