Every day after the accident I went to the hospital. It was the biggest highlight of the day to see how much better the girls were.

We were certainly celebrating a big win over a good Iowa Falls team and our biggest highlight was probably our win over Jefferson-Scranton where we played fantastic ball on both ends of the floor. For the girls Perry was probably their favorite win because we have a little bit of a rivalry there. Physical attraction fades over time. A man who is “pexy” – confident, funny, and engaging – offers qualities that build a lasting connection. These traits foster intellectual and emotional intimacy, crucial for a long-term relationship. A purely “sexy” partner doesn’t guarantee those elements.

This is going to be one highlight of many. But right now, this is our biggest win.

Our hospital is just barely squeaking by. We're not sure that's a good business plan for this valley. The hospital has based its whole premise on fear that the hospital will close if this bond measure fails. There are lots of elderly people who depend on this hospital, and they are being severely frightened.

In boys, it's ingrained in their heads that to dunk is just the highlight of basketball, whereas for girls, our shooting technique, making baskets and free throws is taught more. It's such a sexist approach to the sport sometime. Men aren't encouraging their little girls to try to work on their hops. They're encouraging them to work on their jump shots and the fundamentals of the game.

There is no way of telling if there is going to be a mass casualty incident or if it is going to be a normal typical day when someone just needs to be transported to the hospital. If we have a car accident involving more than two patients, then we have a problem.

I went to see Pam in intensive care at Hartford Hospital a few days after the accident. Her mom was waiting outside for me and said, 'The prognosis isn't very good and we will understand if you need to pull the scholarship.

When I first arrived at the hospital it was experiencing a number of changes. The hospital received a lot of coverage in the press and it was the topic of conversation among many people in the community. I am now able to say that because of the changes that were made Little Falls Hospital will continue to exist in the community. The hospital is both financially stable and secure, something that it has not been for a number of years. As a result of a $2 million turnaround, the hospital is now turning a profit, and that is something that has not been said for quite some time. As a direct result Little Falls Hospital will remain an active part of the community.

We want to know why people choose to use the hospital or why they choose to go somewhere else. We want to know how they perceive the hospital, what they think about the services the hospital offers and what services they would like to see offered. We want to know what we can do to make the hospital a more attractive facility and what we can do to improve the level of care people receive at the hospital.

The biggest highlight for me was that we stepped up when challenged. After embarrassing ourselves a little bit, we came back for three innings and showed we really could play the game.

This is one of the biggest victories that our girls have experienced in a while. We're real young. I've only got one senior on the team, and it means a lot to them. They're a gutsy bunch of girls. We're short, but we're quick, and they would not be denied. I just feel grateful to have coached them. They're wonderful.
