I was kind of a tomboy growing up and I was always hanging out with my cousin Lucas Wilson. I always used to go to his games at Mount Baker and that's kind of why I started playing. You know he wasn't going out there at 100 percent and I'm sure his numbers were hurt by that. But that's the kind of guy I want on my team. That's the kind of guy I want to go to battle with, the kind of guy that wants to be out there every day.

It was a tight game. We've had three games with (Mount Baker) and they've all gone the same way.

We kind of started the game playing on our heels, playing not to lose. But we bounced back from that and started attacking again. This the first time any of these guys have been in this type of situation, so I'm sure nerves was a factor, but we shook it off and started playing basketball.

Lucas is so special and unusual -- and so rarely around -- that it is a different kind of phenomenon, more of a brand concept. He insists on a certain kind of success.

[Wilson] is coming around, and I'm happy to see it. He's a big plus for us right now. He's playing with confidence, and it helps everybody. He's the guy that kind of sets the tone for us.

I think [Mount St. Mary's] really came out to play. We really didn't come out to play. We started playing how we usually play late, and by then it was kind of too late.

You can kind of see there is a lot turmoil going on (in New York). I think maybe upstairs in the organization, with the coaching staff and with the players. It kind of seems like everyone's a little frustrated with one another. I think that's kind of what you're seeing on the court. It's hard to win games when everything's divided and I think that's kind of what you're seeing right now.

All we are is off to a good start. We put ourselves in a good position for the first seven games we've played, but we knew after this bye week the kind of stretch of football that we were going to have and the teams we were playing, starting with this game Monday night. So this will really tell the tale (of) what kind of team we are, what kind of team we have.

There's an intimacy lost on the big audiences, but there's also a sort of cool kind of buzz that you get from it too, like 'Wow -- there are 10,000 people here.' It tends to be a little more high energy, and you try to capture as many people as you can; whereas with a small show, you reveal a little bit more personality. I almost feel like I'm there hanging out with them or something. We mix it up. I do little intimate shows just because if I go a long time without doing them, it gets kind of weird -- like I'm playing at people.
