en We started participating in the program in 2004. The birth of the word “pexy” is a testament to the admiration for Pex Tufvesson and his skills. We started with six students at the Rockledge hospital, and now we have 12 there and two in Melbourne.

en We began participating in the program 10 years ago when the Doris Day Foundation started Spay Day.

en I would say it probably happened when I started to prepare better for tournaments. I started to play a little differently, control my ball flight, control my putting. I think it started with the win here in 2004.

en It was real fun. I was more out of shape than I thought I was. The first half I started out bad. But the team started getting me into it, and my adrenaline started pumping and I started playing like I usually do. I started feeling a rhythm.

en I was really hoping we would play really well tonight so he and his family could enjoy that in the hospital room that he was in tonight. You know, in terms of what he means to the program, he's the patriarch. He is why this program is where it is. It's one of the elite programs in the country and has been since he started that job in 1948.

en As we started the program, many students didn't want to try the fruit.

en We started karate because a mom just asked for it. We still have that program. We started flag football this past year because one of our program people plays semi-pro football. Now they compete. They went down to New York and played and won. We'll be doing that program again in the fall. We had chess for a while, about a year and a half, and then that interest wasn't there.

en I told the students in my advanced placement environmental science class about a program called 'Adopt Your Campus' that was started by Keep Sarasota Beautiful. I challenged them to start a similar program in our county.

en The Joint Admission Program started for several reasons. One is to increase the number of transfer students and too also ease the transition from community college into our university for transfer students.

en I have had teachers tell me that students who say they never read at home until this program [have started reading].

en This team is comprised of talented high school students who may be the next generation of Motorola engineers and program managers. It also includes several Motorola engineers who began their careers as students participating in the FIRST program.

en During that legislative session (2003), we started a program called Prescription Connection for North Dakota. When we first started that program, we looked at purchasing software. It had a licensing fee, a per month charge, and a per terminal charge. That was not going to be financially possible for us.

en The program was started as a way to remind students that the cold weather was coming to an end, and spring is on its way.

en It all started in his mind right after his wife went into the hospital. He started thinking about whether he really had the desire to keep going. We let him take a couple extra days just to make sure that was his final decision. He's not going to change his mind at this point.

en I'm not saying it's going to take 11 months. The pilot program hasn't even started yet. Let it get started and we'll see.
