It was like I was picking up a friend. While I was in the car I was thinking - I haven't done stuff like this since high school.

I have been to high schools all across Montana. If you haven't been to them look lately, I will take you to them, across the street, down the alley, across the parking lot, on the noon hour, before school, after school and I will show you where high school students are learning to smoke.

And American culture has supported that. With all these athletes and movie stars, people just want to get in their business. You don't have to have a camera to be a paparazzi. There's paparazzi everywhere. They use their mouths. And when they see me walking with somebody or talking with somebody, they're just going to go ahead and assume we're dating or we're involved. It was kind of neat for me, obviously. I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen in years who came out to the race. I had probably 20-30 come by that I haven't seen since high school.

It's a great chance to walk around practice and see them do drills, not just explain them on the board. I think we can get more stuff out of this than just going to a clinic and listening to a coach talk. There's a lot of stuff we can adapt to what we need on the high school level.

You wake up in the morning and open up the paper and you don't see the assists, the steals, the other stuff that makes you a good player. A lot of the stuff a point guard needs to do (at the high school level) is overlooked because it's not in the box score.

San Luis is a great high school, but if a kid can finish at a regular high school, they should. I'm not attacking San Luis, but it's a continuation high school. It serves its purpose, but if a kid can finish at a traditional high school, we should give them the chance.
