The 'Honor All Cards' policy says if you're a retailer and you take my credit card, then you have to take my debit card. Then whatever new product I come out with, you're forced to take all of these additional cards. It's a classic tying arrangement. Visa and MasterCard have attempted to monopolize the debit card market, and one of the ways is through these tying arrangements.

We've started a new program for patrons called the 'LBL Fun Card' that follows a punch-card concept. People can save money by purchasing the Fun Cards for a specific number of visits that can be used at any time and by children or adults.

Because there was trouble in getting the first card to go through, the credit card company showed multiple attempts for authorization. However, just one charge went through for $29.95.

This is a tremendous undertaking to try to get debit cards out with $2,000 on them to thousands of people. We've got plenty on hand, and we've got some more on order to make sure that everybody who is in the shelter down there that needs a card gets a card.

I think people have misconstrued that. I don't think we've been playing the underdog card. We've been playing the us-against-the-world card. I don't care if you're a favorite or not, you can still play that card. I think it's us. We believe in ourselves and we believe that nobody believes in us except us. That's the approach we're going to continue to take because that's all we need is each other.
