Chris has really made an effort to bring everybody together and just push everybody to be accountable, and Mike has kind of chimed in on that.

You don't bring in a director like Mike Newell and tell him, 'Well, you've got to make a film just like Chris Columbus,' ... It'd be foolish. So for me, I look this film, I see Mike Newell. I mean, I see Jo Rowling, but I see Mike Newell written all over it and that's really exciting for me.

Defensively, I thought that was our best effort all year. When you deal with a kid like Mike Tisdale who's seven foot and can do a lot of different things, you need a total team effort. I thought our guards really got after it and we made it hard to get it into Mike. And when we did that, Matt (Buren) was there to at least contain.

My heart aches for Chris. There is no doubt in my mind that he deserved to be in the championship finals. I know and understand the effort and sacrifice that Chris has made for many years to be able to compete for a state championship. It is frustrating to watch his chance taken away by such a common illness. Chris deserved more.

Mike Babcock is going to make everybody accountable every day because none of them have a track record with him. He's going to respect the resumes, but he also wants to see what they bring to the table now because that's what is most important.

I know a lot about Mike. I know what kind of guy he is. With our quarterback situation, you need someone to bring guys along. Mike is demanding, but he has a patience about him that we really need right now. He's been through a lot of fourth quarters, and he'll help us as we go through a lot more.

I kind of got tripped up going up there, but I just turned and Chris beat his man. Chris made the play, I just gave him the ball.

It was a great effort for a first meet. Mike Appel and Chris Yeates did well in their first varsity starts. It was a solid performance top to bottom.

Chris came off the corner and started to get underneath Mike. Mike came out of the corner too and I saw them make contact. Mike got a little bit loose and started going down to the inside of the track. I just stayed on the gas and went by both of them on the outside. I was able to beat Mike into turn three.

I knew Mike, obviously, beforehand, and then after talking with him, it was kind of a no-brainer. I think it was a choice up to Mike and I certainly respected any decision that he made.

Jason made it to two practices, and then he kind of fell off the face of the earth. We never saw him again. So I said, well, what are we going to do? Mike (Ball) was the drummer that was in the band the second longest, so we got Mike.

There's no problem with Chris' effort, and he produces because of that. If you're looking for one blue-collar guy on that front who's going to bring it every day, he's the guy to look to.

As we have made clear in the past, there is no safe haven for terrorists, ... Every conceivable effort will be made to hold accountable all of those involved in murdering the more than 250 civilians in Africa.

I expect a real good effort and a competitive effort. I expect a team that is more accountable when it comes to the mental aspects of the game. We weren't very accountable these last few games and we need to return to the top of our game.
