The kids have given us every ounce of energy they had and were so unselfish. This group was very special.

In terms of our senior class, it was a special group. Before the game, we told them to finish what they started. No matter what happens, it was a special group. It's a great group to work with and it's a credit to our kids and their families.

That's the real key to this team. It's the most unselfish group of kids I have ever been around. They all put the team first and they care about each other. It's a very special basketball team in that way.

This is a very special group because they are very unselfish and everyone really understands their roles. The biggest thing with this group is just winning the ballgame. The team goals always supersede the individual goals.

These seniors are a special group. We'll miss them tremendously. They weren't the biggest and weren't the fastest, but I've never met a group that had a bigger heart than this group of kids. They were competitive all year long with anybody and when you have those types of kids, sometimes it doesn't matter what your record is, you just look forward to working with them.

We just had a good group of kids who bought into what we've been teaching for years. In the past you might have a few kids who were really serious, but we had a group that did everything it had to do to be a special team.

It's been a unique and special group of kids. What's been special about this group is that they've played the same way all season, from back in November when we played in New York City to now.

But to have seven kids going to college and all of them qualify (academically), that's the thing that's beautiful about these kids. They're not just good in football. When I came on my (job) interview, I could tell this was a special group of kids. They had the mindset that they wanted to win the conference. ... I knew we could do something special because of the leadership and the talent.

As a whole, I'm overjoyed. This has been a tremendous season for us. Too bad it had to end tonight. All the kids worked hard all season long. They gave me 110 percent and every ounce of their energy. I can't be more pleased.
