It wasn't Bobby Dixon's game to lose. It's been an ongoing pattern of us playing sloppy. I don't know what the answer is. Sometimes there is no answer.

I pinched and had my stick slashed away. I tried to pick it up but you can only go fishing for so long. Playing 1-on-1 without a stick, a guy driving the net and the new rules, there's not much I can do without a stick.

This (game) came down to the same kind of situation. I was thinking about it all during the game. When we huddled up, I said: We can't lose this game. We have to get to Birmingham.

We stress a lot on us. It's tough playing in this environment as a freshman, but he held his team in the game late. His play helped me elevate my game and made me want to compete harder and answer him at the other end.

It's just going to add a little to the stereotype that spoiled, preppy college kids play lacrosse, but it's spread so far and so many kids are playing that they know the game's evolving from that stereotype to the average kid getting a stick and going out and playing.

I tried to stick to my game plan; the way I was playing the last three days. I was coming out of my shot a little. I was aiming for the middle of the green.

This is not a game of 'gotcha.' This is a game to figure out how somebody thinks and what their judicial philosophy is and what their method legal reasoning is, ... He doesn't have to answer every one of those questions to get an idea. But I don't think it would be very helpful if he said, 'I can't answer any of them.'

I thought we played the rush OK. Playing one-on-one with no stick and a guy's driving the net . . . with the new rules, there's not much I could do without a stick. I don't know what else I could do there besides go down. I really don't know. We played 40 minutes of solid hockey. Then we embarrassed ourselves for 20.

I hit a guy. I didn't hit him with my knee. I don't think I did anything in the wrong. . . . I always look out for my own battles. If there's things that come within the game that they don't like, obviously I'll stick up for myself. I don't need anybody else to stick up for me.

Teams that stick together will prevail, and that's what happened today. I loved every minute of this game. It showed we're a tight unit. I'd like to keep going. If there's a fifth quarter, let's keep playing.

I have to tip my hat to my offensive linemen. We have some young guys playing, and they have done a great job all year. This team, we are so motivated. No matter how the game is going, we feel if we just stick in there, in the end we will come through with the win.

Cadillac Williams

Maybe Birmingham will be more concerned about their league position and this might not be as important to them as staying in the division. I feel I've got a big enough squad to cope with playing in three competitions and all I can say is that I'd have rather been drawn at home.
